Dr. James J. Gift D.D.S., M.S.

Dr. James J. Gift, originally from Kansas City, Missouri, completed his undergraduate education at Boston University. Subsequently, he attended Georgetown University School of Dentistry, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and was elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. In 1987, Dr. Gift joined the United States Air Force and completed a General Practice Residency at Barksdale AFB in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was later stationed at K.I. Sawyer AFB in Michigan, then pursued his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency training and M.S. degree at Ohio State University on Air Force Sponsorship. He completed his Air Force career as the Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at MacDill AFB in Tampa.

Dr. Gift is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and holds memberships in several professional associations, including the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the Florida Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He has been an active BLS and ACLS instructor/provider for over 24 years.

Dr. Gift has extensive experience in oral and orthognathic surgery, obstructive sleep apnea treatment, facial cosmetics, laser surgery, implant dentistry, bone graft reconstruction for implants, dental alveolar surgery, wisdom teeth extraction, and maxillofacial pathology. Additionally, he has conducted numerous lectures on emergency medical treatment and pathology for Dentists.
