Pre Operative Instructions
If you receive a sedative prior to your surgery or wisdom teeth removal, these steps should be followed:
Rule #1. DO HAVE NOTHING to drink or eat at least 8 hours prior to your wisdom teeth or surgery appointment (No water, food or drink). You may have a sip of water to take any required medication.
Rule #2. DO HAVE SOMEONE with you to drive. YOUR DRIVER MUST BE WITH YOU AT YOUR ARRIVAL FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT AND REMAIN ON PREMISES WITH THE VEHICLE AND THE KEYS FOR THE DURATION OF YOUR PROCEDURE, NO EXCEPTIONS. No one may accompany the patient into surgery due to OSHA regulations.
Rule #3. DO wear a short sleeve shirt or blouse.
Do take your routine medication unless instructed otherwise by your MD.
Do have an ice bag ready for when you return home.
Do have a parent or guardian if you are a minor.
DO NOT wear make-up or nail polish.
DO NOT bring small children with you.
WHOEVER IS MAKING PAYMENT FOR SURGERY MUST BE PRESENT WITH PHOTO ID OR ARRANGEMENTS MUST BE MADE WITH OUR OFFICE AT LEAST 48 HOURS PRIOR TO YOUR PROCEDURE.
